Where is everybody? Who cares. Enjoy it!

I am enjoying what has become a novel concept.  I am all alone and loving it.  My kids are in bed.  My husband went to a board meeting for the kid's swim team, and isn't home yet.  I am actually allowing the part time house keeper to do her job and am not feeling the least bit guilty. All this joy, and the first thing I wanted to do was brag, I mean blog about it.

It's pretty amazing when just a few short hours ago I freaking out because I was running late to pick up my daughter from a counseling session.  This is something I NEVER do because I am trying so hard not to take advantage.  I just couldn't get the kids picked up, drop her off, go to the grocery store which was out of three things I wanted to buy on sale, so needed to wait for a rain check, etc.  I hit every red light between here and there.  Where is that little emoticon pulling his/her hair out?  It would be perfect here.

Lesson learned....  find what helps you relax and do it whenever or where ever you can.  Lately, it has become this blog for me.  Getting my cortisol levels down is a priority.  Interestingly, since I have started this new relaxation technique - blogging to you, I have gained five pounds (of the forty I lost, and needed to), am more tired and a little sadder than I was before.  I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF!  What this tells me is I am eating better, not running so much on adrenaline and dealing with my feelings.  YOU ROCK!  Now off to cypershop to celebrate.  Thanks for listening.
